1. Direct contact heat exchanger, also known as hybrid heat exchanger, it uses two fluids to fully contact and mix with each other for heat exchange. In order to increase the mutual contact between the fluids, packing and grid plates are often arranged in the equipment, and the container is made into a tower-shaped structure. This kind of heat exchanger has high heat transfer efficiency, large heat transfer area provided per unit volume, and simple equipment structure, but if the process does not allow the mixing of two fluids, this structure cannot be used.
2. Surface heat exchanger, this heat exchanger is also called partition heat exchanger. After entering the heat exchanger, the two fluids, cold and hot, are separated by the solid wall and do not contact each other. The heat is transferred from the hot fluid to the cold through the wall. fluid. Such heat exchangers are widely used in various forms, including various shell-and-tube and tube-sheet heat exchangers.
3. Regenerative heat exchanger, this heat exchanger is also called regenerative heat exchanger. High temperature fluid and low temperature fluid alternately pass through a solid heat storage body, and transfer heat from high temperature fluid to low temperature fluid. When using this heat exchanger, there will be a certain amount of mixing of the two fluids. If the process does not allow the mixing of the two fluids, this structure cannot be used. For example, the rotary air preheater is a regenerative heat exchanger.
4. Intermediate heat carrier heat exchanger, which is a heat exchanger that connects two surface heat exchangers by a heat carrier circulating in them. The heat carrier circulates between the high temperature fluid heat exchanger and the low temperature fluid heat exchanger, absorbs heat from the high temperature fluid heat exchanger, and releases heat to the low temperature fluid heat exchanger. Such as heat pipe heat exchangers, liquid or gas coupled surface heat exchangers, etc.
